SKALD 2024
The 2024 iteration of SKALD, Villa Maria College's annual art and literary publication.
It was a real honor to have the opportunity to work on this book, alongside my mom and fellow graphic designer Julie Zack.
The theme of this work centers around the school's role in helping students to "build character". A scientific workbook motif was used to illustrate this theme, as well as papercraft characters you could literally build in the back of the book, representing the schools most prevalent majors.
The book was awarded a professional Gold award at AAF Buffalo's American Advertising Awards 2025, and a Gold Crown Award by Columbia University's Columbia Scholastic Press Association.

The book features a pop-up rendition of the school at the centerfold, as well as three paper characters to cut out and assemble, inspired by the three specialties of the school.
